New construction of a Contracting office and shop/garage (31,000 sq.ft.) Project designed with a horizontal loop heat pump and waste oiler boiler heat source.
Project Details
- Fisher Contracting is a heavy/highway civil contractor.
- New construction of a contracting office and shop/garage.
- The shop area is used for the maintenance and storage of their fleet of site moving equipment
- Designed and certified as a LEED building.
- Apollo Engineering was hired to provide Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing construction documents for the office area along with the shop
- Apollo designed the lighting layout and lighting controls.
- Lighting controls consisted of occupancy sensors
- A dimming system for the conference room.
- A relay panel to control the corridor lighting along with the exterior lighting.
- Fisher contracting wanted to burn their waste oil, so Apollo Engineering designed a waste oil boiler with gas to provide hot water heating for the building.
- Dual fuel boiler that burns both waste oil and natural gas.
- Hot water in floor heat
- Horizontal trench heat pump loop system – heating/cooling integrated into the mechanical system.
- Compressed air system design
